Care Ministries
Serving in Pine Hills Care Ministries is a rewarding opportunity to provide support and love to members of our church and community who are going through difficult times. This ministry includes various teams that offer emotional and tangible support to those who are sick, grieving, in need, or facing other challenges in life. By volunteering in Care Ministries, individuals have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of those who are hurting and to share the love of Christ in a tangible way.
Current Opportunities
Altar Prayer Team
The Altar Prayer Team has the opportunity to partner with the Holy Spirit to pray with and support people who come forward after a service. Your role is to listen, encourage, and offer genuine prayers for their needs, creating a space filled with care and compassion. This ministry plays a key part in helping others feel God’s love and power in their lives.
Intercessory Prayer Team
The Intercessory Prayer Team prays for the church body during services and events, lifting up the needs of the congregation and ministry. Your role is to intercede on behalf of others, seeking God’s guidance, strength, and protection for the church and its members. This ministry allows you to support the church through the power of prayer, bringing spiritual covering to every event.
Prayer Chain
The Prayer Chain Team prays for the needs of the church body as requests are submitted. Your role is to faithfully lift up these needs in prayer, offering spiritual support and encouragement to those going through challenges. This ministry provides a powerful way to care for others by bringing their concerns before God and trusting in His guidance and provision.
Funeral Host
The Funeral Host Team offers caring support to families and guests during tough times, ensuring that services run smoothly. Your role includes greeting people, helping with seating, and creating a warm, respectful space for grieving families. This ministry is a chance to serve with kindness, showing God’s love during times of loss.
Funeral Meal Team
The Funeral Meal Team serves families by arranging and hosting a meal after funeral services, offering a space for comfort and fellowship. Your role includes setting up, serving, and making sure guests feel cared for during their time of grief. This ministry gives you the chance to show hospitality and love in a meaningful and practical way, supporting families when they need it most.
Helping Hands
The Helping Hands Team offers practical assistance to the elderly, single moms, and those in need within our church community. Your role includes helping with tasks like home repairs, yard work, or moving, while also providing support and companionship. This ministry is a way to show Christ’s love through service, meeting both the physical and emotional needs of those who need extra assistance.
Hospital Visitation
The Hospital Visitation Team provides comfort, prayer, and encouragement to people in the hospital, reminding them of God’s love and presence during their time of need. Your role is to visit patients, listen to their concerns, and offer spiritual and emotional support. This ministry gives you the chance to bring hope, peace, and compassion to those facing health challenges.
Meals Ministry
The Meals Ministry Team provides meals to new moms and those going through tough times, offering practical support during important life moments. Your role is to prepare and deliver meals, giving comfort and relief to families during transitions or hardships. This ministry is a wonderful way to share God’s love by meeting a simple need during a time of vulnerability.
Seniors & Shut-in
The Seniors and Shut-In Ministry Team visits and spends time with our seasoned adults and those who can’t leave their homes. Your role is to offer support, listen to their needs, and bring connection and care to those who may feel alone. This ministry is a wonderful way to share God’s love and provide comfort to those who need it most.
Encouragement Team
The Encouragement Ministry Team sends cards to individuals celebrating spiritual milestones like baptisms, new membership, and baby dedications. Your role is to provide heartfelt encouragement, reminding them of God’s love and the church’s support during these significant moments. This ministry offers a simple yet meaningful way to uplift and connect with others as they grow in their faith.
New Moms Visitation
The New Mom’s Ministry Team provides encouragement, prayer, and practical help to first time moms with a home visit. Your role is to visit moms, listen to their needs, and offer spiritual, emotional, and practical support. This ministry gives you a chance to bring joy, comfort, and help to those in a new season of motherhood.
