RELACIONES EMOCIONALMENTE SANAS

Lunes | 7PM

It allows us the opportunity to partner with God in order for His Kingdom to come here on earth as it is in heaven. Together we will read and discuss The Essential Guide to Prayer by Dutch Sheets in order to learn how to pray with power and effectiveness (Please purchase your book prior to our first meet date). SPIRITUAL PRACTICE: SCRIPTURE

Tuesdays | 6:30PM
March 4 – March 25

Scripture is the primary way we are “transformed by the renewing of [our] mind” (Rom. 12:2). As we think God’s thoughts after Him, we begin to develop the “mind of Christ” (1 Cor. 2:16). We begin to see the world as He sees it, think how He thinks, and feel what He feels. There are all sorts of ways to read Scripture—slowly and prayerfully, all alone, out loud in community, in deep study, while sitting under preaching in church, through memorization, and more. All work together to fill, form, and free our minds. Join us for this four-week study as we dive into Scripture and incorporate it as a regular practice in our lives.

SPIRITUAL PRACTICE: FASTING

Tuesdays | 6:30PM
February 4 – February 25

For thousands of years, fasting was one of the central practices of the Way of Jesus. It was common practice for apprentices of Jesus to fast twice a week until sundown—on Wednesdays and Fridays, as well as the 40 days of Lent. Similar to essential spiritual disciplines like prayer or the reading of Scripture or church on Sunday, fasting was simply one of the things that practicing Christians did. And yet, very few followers of Jesus in the modern West fast at all. Join us for this four-week study where we will cover the four reasons we fast: to offer ourselves to Jesus, to grow in holiness, to amplify our prayers, and to stand with the poor. We recommend purchasing God’s Chosen Fast by Arthur Wallis to supplement our study together (https://a.co/d/bcVendw)

HABITS OF THE HOUSEHOLD

Tuesdays | 8:00PM
April 8 – April 29

Parenting happens in habits. We make meals, get in cars, answer questions, discipline, and do bedtime. We’ll explore how these ordinary routines are extraordinary opportunities to live out the love of God in profound ways. In this book we will find tools we need for parenting and discover spiritual meaning in otherwise mundane moments. As we establish new habits and intentional rhythms around everyday routines, we will find our families have a greater sense of peace and purpose as our homes become places where everyone learns how to love. Be sure to purchase Habits of the Household by Justin Whitmel Earley (https://a.co/d/dC6VtOh)
