We partner with a variety of local ministries and organizations that help us to provide active engagement opportunities as we seek to mobilize the PHC body to bring, build, and send in our neighborhoods and community. Nonprofit Guide

Shelters, transitional housing, eviction prevention, utility help, housing stability.

  • The Rescue Mission: Provides shelter, food, and mentorship.
    Mission Statement – The Rescue Mission exists to provide, through the power of Jesus Christ, a home for the homeless, food for the hungry, and hope for their future.
  • Vincent Village: Focuses on transitional housing and case management for families experiencing homelessness.
    Mission Statement – We provide homeless families a long-term continuum of care, training, and resources with empathy, dignity, and accountability.

  • Just Neighbors Interfaith Homeless Network: Partners with local congregations to provide shelter and transitional support for homeless families.
    Mission Statement – Just Neighbors’ mission is to serve homeless families by uniting religious congregations, community volunteers and local agencies in a cooperative effort to provide shelter, meals, and compassionate, comprehensive professional support.
  • Habitat for Humanity of Greater Fort Wayne: Builds homes to provide affordable housing.
    Mission Statement – Seeking to put God’s love into action, we bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
  • Josephine’s Place
    Mission Statement – To provide single women experiencing homelessness with a safe, stable, and welcoming environment, offering immediate safety (“a place to go”) and a foundation for long-term transformation and personal growth (“a place to grow”).

Food banks, clothing assistance, transportation, emergency support

  • Community Harvest Food Bank: The largest food bank in Northeast Indiana.
    Mission Statement – Community Harvest Food Bank’s mission is to alleviate hunger through the full use of donated food and other resources, while also increasing public awareness and involvement in hunger solutions.
  • Wellspring Interfaith Social Services: provides free social, physical, and educational support to the community, including a food bank, clothing bank, and youth programs.
    Mission Statement – People of faith serving the social, physical, and educational needs of the community in Allen County.
  • The Franciscan Center: a monthly food pantry, a “Medicine Cabinet” for hygiene products, and a “Sack Lunch” program
    Mission Statement – The mission of the Franciscan Center in Fort Wayne is to serve the community in the example of Saint Francis in poverty, humility, and love, and to provide opportunities for the community to share their time, talent, and treasure.
  • Associated Churches
    Mission Statement – To unite communities of faith through acts of compassion, education, and service.
  • Homebound Meals
    Mission Statement – To enhance the health and quality of life for the homebound community through the delivery of nutritional, medically tailored meals and the vital social visits of dedicated volunteer drivers.

Counseling, addiction recovery, behavioral health, crisis support

  • YWCA Northeast Indiana: Offers dedicated residential and transitional addiction recovery programs specifically for women. Their services include chemical dependency education, counseling, and specialized therapies.
  • The Bowen Center: At Bowen Health we provide high-quality healthcare for the whole person, mind and body, in northeast and north central Indiana. We aim to be your healthcare home by offering judgement-free, patient-centered care. Services include wellness exams, sports physicals, sick visits, mental and emotional health care, dentistry, addiction recovery, life skills coaching and more.
  • Parkview Behavioral Health Institute: Park Center provides inpatient and outpatient services to Fort Wayne and surrounding communities. Offering crisis services, a 24-hour HelpLine, SOS Mobile Intervention Team, addiction treatment, inpatient care and other community and family support programs, PBHI delivers high-quality care by experienced professionals.
  • Celebrate Recovery: Celebrate Recovery (CR) exists to help people find freedom and healing from their hurts, hang-ups and habits through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Erin’s House: Erin’s House works with families to prevent the impact of unprocessed grief. Research has identified a link between experiencing an unresolved death during childhood with poor school performance, alcohol and drug abuse, depression, anxiety, and an increased risk for suicide. On-site and in conjunction with schools and community organizations, Erin’s House provides a safe environment for those who are grieving to learn and develop coping skills as they build hope for their future. All of our services are provided to families at no cost.
    Mission Statement – to provide support for children, teens, and thor families who have experienced a death. They provide a safe environment for youth to learn coping skills and build hope.
  • Inspiration Ministries
    Mission Statement – Our evidence-based, Christ-centered approach is getting real results that other programs simply are not—the national average recidivism rate is five times higher than ours. But it’s not just our residents we want to impact. We believe that when individuals are empowered and offered the resources they need to find their place in the world, whole communities can be restored.

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters
    Mission Statement – Creating and supporting one-on-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
  • YFC – City Life/ JJM
    Mission Statement – Supports youth through building relationships, leadership development, and building Christ-centered communities working with local churches to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus.
  • Embrace Grace: Support group for women with unexpected pregnancies, offering mentoring and practical support during and after pregnancy.
    Mission Statement – to inspire and equip the church to love and encourage single and pregnant young women and their families.
  • New Mercies: Helps stabilize vulnerable families through temporary child hosting and family support services.
    Mission Statement – to mobilize the church to come alongside vulnerable families by providing supportive connections, safe housing, and restorative services.
  • Gateway Woods
    Mission Statement – to honor and obey God by providing hope and healing to children and families, who may then bless others by supporting residential, educational, foster care, adoption, and other innovative family programs.
  • The Cooper House: Their primary goal is to support the reunification of foster children with their birth parents, keeping children safe and helping families thrive together.
    Mission Statement – to foster hope for families in crisis by providing support and encouragement while helping them discover the love of Jesus Christ.

Developmental disabilities, adaptive recreation, independent living, accessibility support

  • Turnstone: A variety of programs and services that include therapeutic intervention, early education, case management, adult day services, health and wellness programming, sports and recreation opportunities for children and adults with disabilities.
    Mission Statement – to empower people with disabilities to achieve their highest potential by providing comprehensive services and programs.
  • Gigi’s Playhouse: Change the way the world views Down syndrome and to send a global message of acceptance for all.
    Mission Statement – We make a lifetime commitment to changing lives and providing hope through the consistent delivery of FREE educational, therapeutic, and career development programs for individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the community, using a replicable playhouse model.
  • Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana: Providing life-changing programs and services for people with disabilities and their families.
    Mission Statement – We are dedicated to helping people with intellectual disabilities or other challenges thrive in the community – at work, at home, and at play.
  • League for the Blind & Disabled
    Mission Statement – Provide and promote opportunities that empower people with disabilities to achieve their potential.
  • Camp Red Cedar
    Mission Statement – to encourage children and adults of all abilities to move beyond their boundaries through recreational activities, outdoor education, creative arts and interaction with horses, in an integrated environment.
  • CASS Housing: Empowers adults with disabilities with independent, sustainable housing.
    Mission Statement – The mission of CASS Housing is to create innovative and safe housing with support that empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to maximize their potential and grow in their independence.

  • Matthew 25
    Mission Statement – Gospel-inspired healthcare center that provides high quality medical, dental, vision, and mental health services at no charge to low-income, uninsured and underserved adults.
  • Healthier Moms & Babies: Provides maternal health support, infant wellness, parenting
    education, and pregnancy resources.
    Mission Statement – to prevent infant mortality and improve birth outcomes within their community.
  • Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana
    Mission Statement – to enhance the quality of life of those affected by cancer by providing meaningful resources, information, and compassionate assistance.
  • Visiting Nurse: They are committed to delivering end-of-life care and support.
    Mission Statement – provide compassion, comfort, and guidance through life’s journey.
  • A Hope Center
    Mission Statement – Motivated by the love of Christ, A Hope Center heals hearts and saves lives by providing free pregnancy services, resources, and education to nurture sexual, emotional, and spiritual health.

Refugee resettlement, immigrant services, language support, multicultural organizations

  • Catholic Charities Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend: Catholic Charities agencies provide care to our sisters and brothers, who often come to us in their time of greatest need. Our ministry to vulnerable people on the move is a cornerstone of our Catholic identity.
  • International House: International House is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian organization committed to sharing the love and light of Jesus Christ with refugees and other Internationals living in the Fort Wayne area.
  • Amani Family Services: a private nonprofit organization serving more than 2,000 families and individuals annually from around the world who have made Allen County their home. Amani is the only local organization entirely devoted to promoting the well-being of non-English speaking families through community-based counseling and casework, with the purpose of facilitating the healing of immigrants and refugees who have experienced maltreatment and violence and preventing incidents of family violence.

Literacy, tutoring, job readiness, workforce training, financial coaching

  • The Literacy Alliance: Focuses on adult basic education. They offer free programs for high school equivalency (HSE/GED) preparation, English language learning, and basic literacy. They also provide Project Aim for corporate and workforce skills training.
    Mission Statement – Our mission is to empower people and strengthen community through education.
  • Brightpoint: Empowers individuals to achieve economic independence by addressing the root causes of poverty. Their specialized “Focus Forward” program supports young adults with HSE diplomas, career readiness, and workforce training. They also provide one-on-one Financial Foundations coaching and the JAG youth employment program.
    Mission Statement – Building a strong foundation for communities, families, and individuals in northeast Indiana.
  • Fort Wayne Urban League: Dedicated to fostering economic self-reliance. They provide specialized tutoring for youth in grades 3-12, career planning, and community workforce connections designed to help residents secure sustainable employment.
    Mission Statement – Fort Wayne Urban League’s programs are dedicated to fostering economic self-reliance, parity, power, and civil rights. Our initiatives are structured around four key pillars: Community Connections, Education & Employment, Social Justice, and Civic Engagement. At the heart of our mission is the commitment to empowering African Americans and others to thrive in their communities.
  • Lutheran Social Services of Indiana (LSSI): Integrates financial literacy education and coaching into their family support programs. They also offer LSSI Works, a community-based workforce development initiative that trains and preps individuals for long-term employment.
    Mission Statement – Lutheran Social Services of Indiana expresses the love of Jesus Christ for all people through services that empower individuals and families to move toward social, emotional, and spiritual wholeness.
  • Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana: Junior Achievement designs learning experiences with the end in mind: real outcomes for students. Our experiences don’t just expose young people to ideas about the future — they help students clearly connect what they are learning today to where they want to go tomorrow in a measurable way.

    Mission Statement – NeighborLink provides practical expressions of God’s love to our neighbors in need. Christ’s love for us compels us to love Him; His love for people motivates us to love our neighbors well. By serving others, we believe we are fulfilling this mission as Christ intended.
  • United Way

  • Touchcare Ministries
    Mission Statement – Touch Care Ministries revitalizes Southeast Fort Wayne — bringing food, healthcare, education, and economic opportunity directly into the zip code where it’s needed most.
  • Bridge of Grace Ministries: A Christian community development organization that empowers people to build on their God-given strengths and live life with purpose.
  • LifeWise Academy: Programming that provides Bible education to public school students during school hours.
