7-Day Easter Prayer Guide

Every name carries a story — but there is one name above every other name that has the power to change eternity. This Easter at The Hills, we’re celebrating that name: Jesus. His life, His death, and His resurrection proved what His name always promised, that salvation belongs to those who call on Him.

As we head into Easter weekend, we want to invite you into something more than preparation. We want to invite you into prayer. We believe that what happens in private prayer shapes what God does in public moments — and this is a weekend where we’re believing for lives to be changed.

Over the next seven days, we’ll be focusing our prayers on the people, teams, and moments that make up Easter at The Hills. From our volunteers serving on the front lines to the person who will hear the gospel for the very first time — every part of this weekend matters, and prayer is how we partner with God in it.

Below you’ll find a daily prayer prompt to guide you. Don’t feel like you have to stick to the script — let these be a starting point and allow the Holy Spirit to lead you from there. Our prayer is that by the time Easter arrives, our hearts are ready to witness what God is about to do.

Day 01 – Our Hearts Before Easter

Please pray for:

  • God to quiet the busyness of this week and draw each of us into a posture of worship and expectation.
  • The Hills church family to enter Easter with fresh eyes — not out of routine, but out of genuine encounter with the risen Christ.
  • A spirit of unity and anticipation to rest over our entire congregation as we prepare together.

Day 02 – Good Friday & Easter Services

Please pray for:

  • Our Good Friday services and the speakers — Tiffany, Justin, Brandon, and Hugo — that God would speak powerfully through each of them.
  • Every Easter service, including those who will be in the overflow room, that no one would feel like a second-tier experience — that God’s presence would fill every space equally.
  • Kids Min, that children would encounter the story of Easter in ways that are age-appropriate, joyful, and life-changing.

Day 03 – Our Volunteers

Please pray for:

  • Every volunteer serving this Easter weekend — our parking team, greeter team, usher team, kids team, café team, security team, and prayer team — that each person would show up ready and filled.
  • That our volunteers would serve from a place of overflow, knowing that what they’re doing is ministry, not just logistics.
  • That God would protect and energize every volunteer throughout the weekend, keeping them joyful and present in every interaction.

Day 04 – Those Who Don’t Yet Know Jesus

Please pray for:

  • People in our community who do not yet know Jesus, that their hearts would be softened and made ready to receive the gospel.
  • Friends, family members, neighbors, and coworkers who will be invited to join us for Easter weekend.
  • God to move powerfully in the hearts of every person who walks through our doors for the very first time.

Day 05 – Pastor Mike & the Easter Message

Please pray for:

  • Pastor Mike as he finalizes and carries the weight of the Easter message — for clarity, anointing, and deep confidence in the Word.
  • The Holy Spirit to guide every word spoken, that it would land with precision and grace in the hearts of those who hear.
  • Pastor Mike to be physically rested, emotionally grounded, and spiritually full heading into the weekend.

Day 06 – Our Worship & Production Teams

Please pray for:

  • Our worship team, that every song would be an invitation — drawing people into the presence of God rather than just a performance.
  • Our production team working behind the scenes with sound, lighting, and tech, that everything would serve the moment well.
  • Each team member to lead from a place of personal worship, not just preparation.

Day 07 – Baptisms

Please pray for:

  • Anyone who has been sensing God’s stirring in their heart, that this Easter would be the moment they say yes to going public with their faith through baptism.
  • Those who are on the fence or still considering it, that fear or hesitation would give way to joy and boldness.
  • That the sight of people stepping into the water would move hearts in the room and spark something new in those who are still on their own journey.
